All our rooms have air conditionign/heating, privated bathroom, TV, safe, etc... Hostal Gallardo is situated right in the heart of Madrid, only 500m from the Puerta del Sol. Our historic building from the 19th century is located in the Malasana district near many of the main tourist and shopping zones. The famous Avenue of the Art with the Museums Thyssen, Prado an Reina Sofia begins just a 20 minutes walk away. |

A taxi from Barajas Internacional Airport usually takes about 20 minutes to arrive and can cost between 25�� – 30 ��. Although the majority of taxis are honest professionals please be warned that sometimes you may be charged a extremely high price or may be taken to places that pay the driver a comission. We recommend that you ask for an official recipt, note their operating license number and you can refuse payment in some cases. This is not the norm but it is better to be forewarned.
From the airport, if you do not have a lot of luggage the subway is easy and inexpensive use and will take you less that 30 minutes to 4arrive at the Hostal. Follow the signs to the metro in the airport, purchase a one use ticket: 1 �� or a 10 use ticket: 6,15 �� , from the machines or the ticket window. Take line #8 to the station Nuevos Ministerios and transfer to line #10 in the direction of Metro Sur. Get off at the Tribunal stop and the hostal is located just 50m from any of the 3 exits. |

The Hostal has 2 parking spaces nearby. One is in the Plaza de Barcelo on the side of the subway stop an the other is on the corner of Glorieta de Bilbao and Fuencarral St. Both are located just 50m from the Hostal. |
